Stepping Stone Child Development Center's Mission is to include trust, nuture, respect, and learning, as crucial elements to a quality early childhood program. Our team is committed to recognizing the development of each individual child with the support and communication of family and community.
We celebrate children’s individuality and nourish their curiosity, independence, creativity, and self-esteem. By fostering positive learning attitudes and challenging children’s thinking we expect that each child will be empowered to reach their individual potential. Equally important for children is a constant group of friends, and uninterrupted periods of time for children to play, where learning can flow in the natural direction of children’s interests, increasing engagement and depth of learning. This offers daily stability and supports our transition to school programme.
Philosophy of Stepping Stone Day Care
Day Care Center provides quality care and appropriate experiences in an unbiased environment, so that every child may grow to his/her fullest potential.
Day Care Center recognizes and encourages the development of each child emotionally, physically, in- tellectually and socially. We encourage children to express their own ideas and feelings through the use of self-expressive materials, to develop problem solving and reasoning skills, and to grow toward in- dependence.
Children need warm, understanding Early Childhood Educators who respect and listen to each child as an individual person.
We recognize that each child and his/her family are unique and we respect their diversity. Day Care Center offers assistance in parenting skills to those parents who request it. We also offer support through cooperation with family service agencies.
